My best friend, and first love.
Work Station #2
After a fruitful day spent staring at my computer screen and tutting about the volume of other students’ headphones, I am now crammed into the dingy corner of my bedroom I call my office.
Of course, the evening I have planned is bound to be industrious, but to assist me in my studious endeavours I have:
A glass of Dr. Stuart’s Slim Plus tea to counteract the McDonald’s a...
Work Station #1
You know deadlines are looming when it’s a struggle to get a seat on the sixth floor of the university library. Here’s where I’ve spent the morning, and where I’ll be until my Papa comes and collects me at five o’clock.
I have:
A Royal Gala apple for 47kcal of brain fuel.
My bicycle notebook, which I write all my secrets in. (She’s filled with secrets.)

Kate Bush Christmas Special 1979
Some choice screencaps:
[Looks promising]
[The show opens with “Violin”, aka everyone’s least favourite K.Bush song, but the outfit makes up for the poor song choice]
[“Rolling The Ball”, which was parodied by Alan Partridge]
[BABE]
[Rascal, drag queen and baby. Sure]
[“Riddle of the brown dust” - good headline]
[Why did Beyoncé not...

Viewing Facebook made me feel so inadequate....
Hello, 2012.
Some of my favourite things about the Christmas and New Year period were the amount of time I got to spend with Violet. I had no impending coursework, I hardly worked at all, and she let me sleep until nine o’clock most mornings. We had late, unrushed breakfasts for a change, and spent our afternoons watching films and eating.
Christmas Day was blissful, although the mild (almost warm)...

CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE VOL. III: ME, ME, ME*
*Christmas and birthday combined Bumper Edition
Fans of Scottish indie superhero Edwyn Collins will remember how he suffered a massive brain haemorrhage in 2005, but they might not know that his miraculous recovery was aided by extensive art therapy, including a project where he sketched a bird a day. Liberty have taken these lovely illustrations and created a range of fabrics and homewares,...
CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE VOL. II: YOUR MOTHER*
*or your Aunt/Grandmother/any other female
I absolutely adore these Anthropologie snowglobes. I’ve seen tutorials for similar things online before and it’s definitely something I’d like to try when my daughter is a bit older. I just know they are the sort of thing my mum would go crazy for. The mason jar is £32 and the adorable salt shaker is a cute twelve bucks.
I am so...
